My own path through recovery was not a straightforward one. I say that not to claim a particular hardship, but because it's relevant: I understand what it is to need help from a place of genuine darkness, and I know what it takes to build something solid from there.
I work from a foundation of the twelve steps — not because they are the only path, but because they center personal agency above all else, and because I have seen them work where other approaches have failed. That said, the twelve steps aren't the only source of wisdom, and I'm genuinely supportive of any modality that serves a client. I'm as comfortable discussing Marcus Aurelius or Jungian shadow work as I am sitting in a meeting. What matters is what actually moves the needle for you.
I work alongside whatever clinical or therapeutic support a client already has — not instead of it. I'm here to support what's working, not try to replace it, and I speak fluent psychiatrist if you'd like me to coordinate with a care partner.
Prior to recovery work, I worked in counter-human trafficking operations and technology. Fluent in English, Spanish, and Catalan, with conversational Italian. In order to be of maximal service, I only work with a small number of clients at any one time. Your understanding is greatly appreciated.
